# Wrapped Tokens

Wrapped tokens are tokens issued on the Liquid network (1:1) ([SLIP44:  LBTC, 998 \[Symbol, ID\]](https://github.com/satoshilabs/slips/blob/master/slip-0044.md)) for each token being held in a multi-sig escrow account on another network.
